Application Description:
The Client is a leading solution provider of wireless mobile and cellular and integrated web-based applications.
The project involved development of mobile wireless and cellular modules for a suite of applications.
It is a user-friendly, powerful, web-based software package designed with industry input to enable retail and wholesale distributors and other industries to increase revenues and lower operating expenses. This package is generally integrated with distributor’s existing route accounting software package. It helps in identifying sales trends and tracks customer service issues and promotional assets and it comprises of web-based module and wireless, mobile, cellular modules. The user can view detailed sales reports and graphs on mobile device and can update handheld with survey information and other related and required information.
The suite of applications mainly has three components.
- Suite for Distribution
- PDA Sync
- PDA Conduit
Suite for Distribution – This is the main application, which resides on handheld device. This component of the application is used for displaying all account objectives, action items, making and displaying account calls, customer services, displaying all existing surveys available, analysis by brand reports and volume ranking reports.
PDA Sync – PDA Sync resides on PDA Device and used for Syncing data between PDA device and Remote Server.
PDA Conduit – This Part resides on Desktop and used for Syncing data between PDA Device and Remote Server.
Scope:
We developed all three modules in Suite for Distribution, PDA Sync and PDA Conduit. The development involves Application Design, Database Design, User Interface Design, User Interface Development, Developing Reports for Palm platform.
